Food is great. Service and the place need some upgrading. Update: new OWNERSHIP... Food is incredible, and service is top notch. This place needed the reboot, and it got it now. Keep up the great Work!!

This Friday evening with friends was not the usual that I've experienced in the past. We ordered pizza, salad and soup that were just okay. Really enjoyed the zuchinni appetizer but the sauces were not good. Wait staff could not remember who ordered what.

Service was good. The pizza looked good. The food that I ordered was not the greatest. We could have been offered pitchers of water and pop because we had a group of 9.

Very small portions for price paid. Tight seating in booths. Music very loud. Hard to carry on conversation. No wait staff. Bartender took our order for lunch on Saturday afternoon.

I came here tonight for a superbowl party. The food was amazing. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was superb. I would come here just to have a good time.

We went there for dinner for the first (and last) time a couple days ago. The service was absolutely horrible and it took 45 minutes to get our food. And the server was one very unfriendly person.

Ordered a bowl of minestrone soup and it was only a half a cup in it I even told the waiter it when I get to order a bowl of soup I expect it to be a bowl of soup. I ordered a square deep dish pizza and it only comes with six slices I don't think I'll be back I will probably stick with buddies now.

Good food, good prices. The pizza is what they are best known for, but they have a huge menu. The service is friendly and attentive. We went on sunday early afternoon and apparently they have a brunch bar which they had a waffle bar, eggs, and other items. No one was eating at it so i cant say how good it was. Worth checking this place out for the pizza for sure.

Shields has outstanding service, it is reasonably priced, and has outstanding bread sticks and pizza. Everytime I go to Shields I get there pizza and bread sticks. I always come out happy and full when I leave Shields so I would highly recommend Shields to anyone.

It was decent. Their wings were good, but their chicken nachos could've used a little more spice

Great food and service...

Normally they have good pizza, that is the only reason for the 2 stars. I Ordered a large meat lovers, not very good. The crust was dry, not crispy, toppings we're very sparse and the sausage was awful. In the past the pizza was only second to Buddys, but now any carryout is better.

Great pizza, deep dish Detroit style and decent beer choices.

Authentic cuisine, great main dining room atmosphere, a lounge area that is very comfortable with a lot of televisions. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This was our 1st time at the Romeo Rd location and it will be our only one. This was NOTHING like the Shields of old. I will try the 9 mile rd location again just to make sure. The crust was way too think and the sauce was too much and too sweet. This was just a bad experience for us.

A long wait for mediocre food. The waitress took a really long time bringing our drinks then rarely came around to check on us. We needed drink refills, but didn't get them in a timely manner. Also, the waitress mixed up our order. I recieved a kid's meal instead of the regular meal I ordered, as did my oldest son. I also ordered a side of fresh fruit that arrived in a hot bowl that had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp.

Ribs were horrible... Never again. Ordered a chicken caesar salad entree, received no chicken. The pathetic salad received for $9 was worse then the ribs. A bagged salad from kroger would have been better. Wilted lettuce, cheap kraft parm cheese, and prob some cheap jarred dressing.

It was ok, we haven't been back there in a few years so figured we'd try it again. The pizza was not great, ribs were soso and lemon chicken was a delicious taste of salt and more salt...blah! We'll go visit our "buddy" or find a "clover" next time.

I had my daughters first birthday party here and the staff was awesome!! Service was great, food was delicious, and they were so accommodating. I would highly recommend.

Bread was great as was the Pepsi and the service but most of the entrees were over cooked and the lasagna was just stacked noodles with no ricotta or anything. The minestrone soup was cold and bland as were the sauces...Will not go there again...maybe the bar side is better.

OMG!!! The BEST Italian Restaurant ever!!! Food was fresh, light, satisfying and just absolutely amazing. From beginning to end. Also our waitress Jenny was a superstar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you so much for the perfect entree’ selections and drink choices. The atmosphere felt just like home.I will recommend to EVERYONE!!!!

Great place to eat

Order a hamburger to go and it was raw on the inside, threw it away!Shields has no clue how to prepare or cook food.I have learned there have been many complaints about this establishment.The owner needs to start being accountable.You guys suck! Never going back!

Food has gone downhill over the last year. Was a frequent guest, but service and quality is poor.

Seem to be a good place will try it again.

Much better then it was. We get service within 10 minutes of arrival now. And then usually have a 22oz beer special for $3.

Good pizza, okay service, I was given a cup of water with old food in it though, which was pretty disgusting.

We celebrated my cousins 50th birthday and had a room all to ourselves and the wait staff was so awesome!! Pizza n salads were delish too!! Had a great time!!

This place was bad when it was shields they changed the name and it's still bad. The food quality is average, service is okay, but I won't be back.

Unbelievably fresh ingredients, with classic recipes made with tlc. Will definitely be back soon with more friends ❤ Highly reccomend our waitress Jenny who suggested the perfect menu items and drinks!

Pizza almost has the flavors of a Chicago style from the crust to sauce. Many better Detroit Style options at better prices. The crust was dry not crisp. The cheese didn't make it to the edges so it was a bread crust. My pepperoni was dry like they were left out before they were cooked. Looked tan not like a dark burn.

Tasty pizza, good salad. Everything fresh. Service was very prompt. Large servings - took half of my dinner home for lunch the next day. Huge menu. My first time eating at Shield's, and I will go back.Restaurant a little hard to see when driving northbound on Romeo Plank. Lots of parking.

Disappointing, food below average, service good, has room for improvement.

Very good pizza, if slightly undercooked. Very generous with the toppings, however the chef did not seem to account for the need to add extra cooking time necessary due to this generosity. Cheese bread was as advertised.Lots of drink specials, especially during games and events. Good place to hunker down during NFL Sundays or College Saturdays with some friends.

Pizza is so-so and over-priced. Best to buy pizza on Mondays at half price. Staff is courteous.

Nice decor. Very new. Food was good. Would have liked to have more soup in the bowl.

First time in, pizza was excellent. Perfect blend of toppings, cheese and sauce. Dough wasn't too dense nor airy. Pricing was a good value as well. Our server, Rochelle, was great as well. Very personable, attentive and accurate. We didn't go without any of our needs being tended to throughout the meal. We will definitely be back.

A 1st Birthday Party for a pretty little girl and shields was a great space.
